Protect your Skin Tip #1: Wear sunscreen!
Put some on in the morning before you head out for the day and just make it part of your daily ritual, like brushing your teeth. Even if it is cloudy, even if you are just going to work – it is such an easy simple step to make sure you are always protected.
If you are going to spending a significant time outdoors, make sure to reapply as needed and keep your sunscreen with you in your bag. Here are some recommendations!

Protect your Skin Tip #2: Eat Antioxidant Rich Foods
The foods we eat are SO important! Eating high antioxidant foods such as blueberries, spinach, grapes and oranges have the added benefit of helping your skin combat the free radicals found in the air.
Pinterest has a HUGE selection of recipes to choose from – one of my favorites is the Blueberry and Mango Spinach Salad with Basil Vinaigrette from Amy over at Wholesomelicious. Check out her blog for simple, healthy recipes that are delicious and beneficial.
Protect your Skin Tip #3: Keep Skin Hydrated
To fight pollution from damaging your skin, make sure to keep your skin hydrated. Adequate water intake is a must, plus adding in a good moisturizer to apply to your skin.
My top choice is Climate Control – this is known as “hydration in a bottle” and I love that you can just spritz it on your skin and let it works it magic.
Protect your Skin Tip #4: Wear Hats and Sunglasses
This is a fun tip if you are a fashion lover, or just a wannabe fashionista like me (still struggle city over here in workout clothes most of the time but hey, I at least have some rocking outfits pinned on Pinterest!)
There are sooooo many cute sunglasses and hats to choose from to give your skin that extra layer of protection when out and about. I’ve been living in my #housewife hat from Mother Trucker & co. (they have a HUGE selection of adorable hats for all) along with a couple pairs of sunglasses from Diff Eyewear. For every pair of glasses they sell, they donate a pair to someone in need. How cool is that?!
Protect your Skin Tip #5: Apply a Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is where it is at! This is such a great ingredient for you skin because it promotes collagen production AND helps protect skin from sun damage.
There are many products to choose from that contain Vitamin C – my favorite is SeneSerum-C because it contains pure, stabilized Vitamin C in little beads. When you massage into your skin, the beads break open and you massage the goodness is, waking up with noticeably brighter skin.
