In this 12 part Motherhood series, I am sharing the monthly schedules that I used for my youngest son when he was a baby 🙂  My boys are 20 months apart and I was in the #2under2 club – following a general schedule (with flexibility of course) helped me and my family so much.  Since I loved seeing other mama’s schedules when my babies were little, I am sharing mine here on my blog with you.  Enjoy!

Baby Schedules: Month 1

Part 1 (5).png

Haha, just kidding.  We had no schedule whatsoever the first month, you are going to have to wait until I share Month 2 lol when things were more predictable. There are 2 things that I did follow since day 1 however, and I swear they made my days so much easier and predictable this time around.

One, I woke C up at about the same time every day – we sort of had to do this because #toddler, but it was also intentional.  This is the first step to a routine/schedule and it felt nice to start each day the same way.  Babies love predictability!

Two, I followed an E.A.S.Y. Routine from the Baby Whisperer book right off the bat (you can learn all about this here).  Basically, baby Eats, then does Activity (at this age that was pretty much just a diaper change or tummy time), then Sleeps, and then you have time for Yourself.

I didn’t pay attention or care about when these things happened, just as long as they took place in this order.  By doing this, if C cried or started to get fussy, it was a lot easier for me to figure out why because I just had to think about where we were in that routine.  Did he just eat?  Probably needs a burp or a nap.  Did he just wake up? Probably hungry.  Rinse, repeat!

Thanks so much for reading about my babe’s Month 1 schedule and I hope you enjoy Months 2-12 as well 🙂 If you have any questions or comments, contact me below and I’d love to chat!  Want to see pretty pics and motivation quotes to brighten up your Instagram feed?  Let’s connect on social media below!
