I started Lips by Nic in July 2016.  I am a wife, and a mom to 2 sweet little guys.  I teach part-time during the school year (update: my last day teaching is mid-June!!!) and stay home with my boys during the summer.  I love our summers together – we go to the zoo, to the beach, and we used to spend way too much time at my old favorite: Sephora.  Seriously.  The double stroller I bought was solely because it successfully fit through the aisles at Sephora.  To say I love makeup is an understatement, and Sephora was my playground.

After getting bored during nap time though and scrolling through Instagram to find some pretty new makeup, I stumbled across a video of LipSense.  This lipstick was being compared to other long-lasting brands like Stila and Kat Von D and while all of the others smudged, LipSense didn’t move!  I knew I needed some and immediately placed an order.

The product is so incredible, that I started asking about how I could possibly either get a discount on it or maybe even sell it myself.  Now, I had never done sales in my life because I am shy and pretty much couldn’t sell water to someone stranded in the desert.  But these products sell themselves.  I started wearing LipSense and telling friends about it and basically overnight things started taking off; I use all the makeup and skincare now as well and wish I started sooner!  I am blessed to now have a huge customer base and have met so many new people as a result; I also have a team of over 100 awesome women in the USA, UK, and Australia who I train and support.  I’ve earned a SeneCar and love helping my teammates achieve their goals as well!

I donate a portion of profits each month to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in honor of my mother who passed away a few years ago.  She is my motivation for this business; she loved lipstick, she was effortlessly glamorous, she was the kindest most encouraging person I have ever known, and she always wanted to have her own business.  I am carrying her dream forward so if you are interested in being a customer of mine, or joining my team as a distributor, know that I am truly grateful for you.
